Companies that meet the requirements will be invited for the actual tender in July 2010.

The Nabucco Pipeline will be approximately 3,300 km in length, starting at the Turkish border of either Georgia or Iran, and lead to Baumgarten in Austria. Gas will then be further transported to central and western Europe through Austria.

Construction of the pipeline is scheduled to begin by the end of 2011, with first gas expected to flow by the end of 2014.

Project shareholders include OMV Gas&Power, MOL, Transgaz, Bulgarian Energy Holding, BOTAS and RWE.
