Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are discussing new opportunities to export Kazakh oil via pipeline, Head of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev has told local media.
Kazakhstan plans to double oil output to 150 MMt/a within the next decade.
“With regard to the expected increase of the Kazakh oil exports via Azerbaijan in the near future, we are exploring the possibility of delivering these volumes through the Baku – Supsa pipeline and constructing a new pipeline,” said Mr Abdullayev.
