Tiratsoo Technical – a division of Great Southern Press – and Clarion Technical Conferences, are organising the event with the support of Saudi Aramco and in association with Global Webb Energy Consultants.

Experts from within and outside the region will gather at this major multi-track conference to discuss some of the latest technologies and concepts for maintaining and operating oil and gas pipelines in the most efficient, cost-effective, and professional manner, while taking account of the environmental and other concerns of the communities through which they pass.

The exhibition will showcase the latest products and technology and offer delegates a chance to speak face-to-face with company representatives, as well as offering a forum for networking.

The two-and-a-half day conference programme will cover topics including:

  • Planning, design, construction and materials;
  • Operations and maintenance;
  • Asset integrity management;
  • Inspection and cathodic protection;
  • Repair and rehabilitation;
  • Automation and control; and,
  • Leak detection.

In addition, training tutorials will be held in conjunction with the conference programme. These will be held on the afternoon of 20 March.

Bahrain Minister of Oil and Gas Affairs H.E. Dr Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza said “The Kingdom of Bahrain is proud to host the first international conference on ‘Best Practices in Pipeline Operations and Integrity Management’.

“As Bahrain establishes itself into one of the best venues for business networking in the region, events like this will provide a great opportunity to businesses in the pipeline industry and clients to exchange notes and forge new business relations.”
