DNV has acquired US-based Cortest Columbus Technologies, more-familiarly known as CCT. The two companies have very complementary technological market positions, and the acquisition will increase the competence and service to better serve expanding markets.
Neil Thompson, founder of CCT, will continue as president, and said: "This is a great opportunity to take our knowledge, experiences, and services to a higher level. The similar corporate philosophies and commitment to technical excellence and customer satisfaction exhibited by the two organizations provide an attractive option for CCT to continue to pursue its strategic goals under the DNV brand."
To assist in the integration process, DNV will be strengthening CCT's management team with a service integration manager and a financial manager from the existing DNV organization. Craig Colby, the DNV regional manager for North America, has been in charge of the successful negotiation process, and will now become chairman of the board of CCT.
