In South China, Sinopec's Zhuahai Tangjia oil tank pipeline is being commissioned, representing the final phase of the 1100-km long Pearl River Delta pipeline project to connect Guangdong province's refineries and oil farms. In the west, the 177.25-km long Sebei-Ge'ermu gas pipeline phase 2 came into operation in June, and is now transporting 2 billion cum/yr of gas. In central China, the Sichuan-East China pipeline project was inaugurated recently. The 1700-km long pipeline will run from Sichuan to Shanghai. Also, PetroChina's Dagang-Zaozhuang oil products pipeline recently began trial operation. Finally, a feasibility study is under way for the second West-to-East gas pipeline is on the way of feasibility study, and PetroChina has announced it will construct a 360-km long crude oil pipeline for the UAE. China Gas Holdings Ltd, a gas services operator for city gas pipeline infrastructure, bought a 65% share in Chang Meng Gas Co Ltd, who had been authorized by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region government to start construction of a 230-km long gas pipeline between the Sulige gasfield and Erdos city in Inner Mongolia. The new pipeline will have a capacity of 1.2bn cum/yr, 778m cum/yr of which will be provided to Erdos United Chemical Co Ltd. Chang Meng Gas also signed an agreement with PetroChina Changqing Oilfield Co covering an initial gas supply of 778m cum/yr by 2009, increasing annually as the market demands require. Established in June 2006, Chang Meng Gas mainly focuses on the design, construction, and installation of gas pipelines and other supporting facilities. Its main shareholder is Shida Property Development Co Ltd with 65%, with the remaining 35% owned by Erdos Electric Power Co Ltd.
