Compressor station in Egypt

UK-BASED Penspen Ltd has been awarded a contract as design engineering consultant by Egypt’s East Gas Co to undertake the conceptual and detailed design, and procurement services, for a new gas compression station and associated facilities at Al Arish in North Sinai, Egypt.

This first compressor station for the East Gas Co will be built on the existing 36-in diameter, 258.5-km long pipeline between Al Arish and Aqaba in Jordan (243.5km of which are onshore from Al Arish to Taba, and 15km of which hare offshore in the Gulf of Aqaba) to increase the pipeline's capacity from 7m cum/d to 33m cum/d.
