10 JULY saw the start of work on the $200-million oil pipeline from Venezuela to Colombia, according to local reports. The pipeline is being constructed to provide an export route for Venezuelan oil to Central and Southern America.
10 JULY saw the start of work on the $200-million oil pipeline from Venezuela to Colombia, according to local reports. The pipeline is being constructed to provide an export route for Venezuelan oil to Central and Southern America, and form a link for trans-Pacific exports to East Asia. Welding of the first sections of the pipeline was witnessed by the presidents of Venezuela, Colombia, and Panama, in a ceremony that took place in the western Venezuelan state of Zulia.
