Dzhubga – Lazarevskoye – Sochi Pipeline remains on schedule

Pre-construction operations for the offshore section of Gazprom’s 177 km Dzhubga – Lazarevskoye – Sochi Pipeline are nearing completion.
The progress of the pipeline was reviewed recently at a meeting chaired by Gazprom Management Committee Deputy Chair Alexander Ananenkov.
Representatives of the company’s subsidiaries, specialised subdivisions as well as contractors responsible for the pipeline’s construction attending the meeting reported that approximately half of the onshore section of pipeline had been welded, trenched, and backfilled.
Construction of the main transmission line is expected to be completed by the sencond quarter of 2010.
Approximately 160 km of the pipeline will extend under the Black Sea to the Kudepsta gas distribution station near Sochi.

The Dzhubga – Lazarevskoye – Sochi Pipeline is designed to meet the increased energy demands of Sochi – the host city of the 2014 Olympic Games.
