The pipeline will connect to ETP’s dual 42 inch pipeline system near Carthage, Texas, extend through Haynesville Shale and end near Delhi, Louisiana. At least seven interstate pipelines, which serve the Northeast, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest markets would interconnect with the proposed Tiger Pipeline in Louisiana.

The pipeline will have an initial throughput capacity of 2 Bcf/d, which may be increased to 2.4 Bcf/d with added compression.

Construction of the pipeline is expected to commence by June 2010 and be in service in the first half of 2011 pending necessary regulatory approvals.

ETP Interstate Pipeline Division Senior Vice President Lee Hanse said “The construction of the Tiger Pipeline will hep provide critical takeaway capacity and ensure that producers have flexibility and enhanced market access.”
