Article continues below…DNV Columbus’ Director of Welding Technology Bill Bruce will be leading the Pipeline repair methods and in-service welding course. The course is aimed at pipeline engineers, operations and maintenance personnel, inspectors and welders, and will cover various aspects of pipeline repair using weld and non-weld methods. Concerns for welding in-service pipelines and the approaches used to overcome these will also be addressed.
Incal Pipeline Rehabilitation’s President Sidney A. Taylor will lead the Performing pipeline rehabilitation course, which will focus on practical aspects of internal and external pipeline rehabilitation. The course will discuss how to safely rehabilitate operating pipelines using manual and automated equipment. Movement of in-service pipelines is analysed with regard to recommended practice API 1117. Other industry standards applicable to pipeline rehabilitation will also be discussed, in addition to how they should be incorporated into project specifications.
