Extending the operating life of pipelines is a challenge facing the pipeline industry worldwide. The Evaluation, Rehabilitation & Repair Conference and Exhibition will include speakers and participants from around the globe who are keen to share their knowledge and learn more about the solutions and services on offer.

Organised by pipeline event and training course providers, Tiratsoo Technical, a division of Great Southern Press, and Clarion Technical Conferences, the event will be held in Houston from 31 October to 3 November 2011 at the Marriot West Loop South.

Products and services on show

The exhibition is set to showcase some of the industry’s latest achievements.

Representatives of leading suppliers of rehabilitation and repair products and services will be on-hand to answer delegates’ specific needs and concerns one-on-one.

In addition, two evening receptions will be held in the exhibition area. These receptions are the highlight of the networking schedule, and provide delegates and exhibitors the opportunity to renew existing business contacts and make new ones.

An in-depth learning experience

In addition to the conference and exhibition programme, two training courses will be held on 31 October and 1 November.

These two-day courses provide attendees with an in-depth knowledge of either Pipeline Rehabilitation or Pipeline Repair and In-service Welding, and are presented by well-respected members of the pipeline industry:

  • Sidney Taylor of Incal Pipeline Rehabilitation will present the Pipeline Rehabilitation course, which is centred on the practical aspects of pipeline rehabilitation, covering both internal and external rehabilitation. Approximately half the course is spent analysing case studies of field rehabilitation projects from around the world. Over 400 photographs are used to illustrate how the work was performed and the results obtained.
  • DNV Columbus’ Bill Bruce and Stress Engineering Services Chris Alexander will present the Pipeline Repair and In-service Welding course, which covers various aspects of pipeline repair using weld and non-weld methods. The course also outlines the concerns for welding onto in-service pipelines and the approaches used to address them.
