First gas from Vung Tao to Ho Chi Minh

A gas pipeline running from oil fields off the coast of Vietnam’s Ba Ria Vung Tau province to Ho Chi Minh has been commissioned.

The pipeline has a length of 39 km and was constructed by PetroVietnam.

Sourcing gas from Bach Ho oil field, the pipeline is now pumping 7.7 MMcm/d to the Hiep Phuoc industrial zone and the Hiep Phuoc power plant in Nha Be, as well as the Nhon Trach Power Plant in the adjacent province of Dong Nai.
