Dolphin Energy has completed commissioning of early gas facilities at the gas receiving station that services Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Company’s (ADWEC) power and water desalination plant in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, marking the first milestone in the construction of the Taweelah – Fujairah Gas Pipeline.
Dolphin General Manager Ibrahim Ahmed Al Ansari said “This is an important development for Dolphin Energy. We are ready to deliver gas to ADWEC’s tie-in connection point on schedule so that they are able to fulfil their commitments. The supply of early gas means that Dolphin is able to sustain its commitment to providing important gas supply to the UAE and support industrial growth across the entire country.”
The 240 km Taweelah – Fujairah Pipeline will carry gas from the Taweelah gas terminal on the Persian Gulf coast, to treatment facilities in the emirate of Fujairah on the UAE – Oman coast.
