SOUTHERN California Gas Co has made a $10,000 contribution to the San Simeon Earthquake Relief Fund, established by the San Luis Obispo chapter of the American Red Cross, to help in the relief effort following December’s 6.5 earthquake in San Luis Obispo County.
The company has carried out leakage surveys of more than 100km of pipeline in the hardest-hit areas. A third of this survey has been completed, and no significant damage to its pipeline system as a result of the earthquake has been found.
