Every two years, the International Pipeline Conference and Exposition, held in Calgary, Canada, attracts members of the pipeline industry and related service providing sectors from all over the world.
The conference, managed by the International Pipeline Conference Foundation on behalf of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Pipeline Systems Division, is an internationally renowned event organised on a not-for-profit basis, with proceeds used to support education initiatives for the pipeline industry.
The exposition is organised by dmg :: events, and promises an overview of the latest developments in the oil and gas pipeline industry.
Know the layout

Events and activities are being held at both the Hyatt Regency Hotel and the TELUS Convention Centre, so it will be helpful to get an idea of the layout when you register to be sure you won’t get lost on your way to one of your many planned activities. Conference proceedings will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, while the exposition will be located at the TELUS Convention Centre. Maps of the conference and exposition layout will be provided when you register, so take the time to orientate yourself.
Have your sessions planned
The International Pipeline Conference attracts some of the most experienced and respected members of the international pipeline community, and this year will focus on the theme ‘Pipelines in a changing world’.
The conference begins on Monday 27 September with tutorials in key areas of interest. Streamed technical sessions begin the morning of Tuesday 28 September and run through to Friday 1 October. Conference organisers have developed 14 technical streams to enhance the opportunities for you to hear and participate in discussions with industry leaders in the topic areas of your choice.
Many of you will have already registered for any panel sessions and tutorials prior to arriving at the conference but there is still the possibility to register onsite if you would like to be a part of any of these activities.
Leave plenty of time for the Exposition
The International Pipeline Exposition will feature over 150 companies from around the world, displaying the latest in pipeline technology, equipment and services. With so much to see, make sure you budget enough time between your other activities to get the most out of the exposition.
The 2010 exposition will be held from Tuesday 28 September to Thursday 30September and promises an unmatched overview of the latest developments in the oil and gas pipeline industry, as well as associated sectors.
