The company will invest more than $177.7 million for the two projects; one is a 250-km long gas pipeline connecting Ahmedabad to Rajkot, and second one is a 200-km long pipeline between Anand and Pipavav, in Amreili district. The Ahmedabad-Rajkot line will cover important industrial locations like Morbi, Thanghadh, Surendranagar, Wankaner, while the second line to Pipavav from Anand, will cater to the industrial gas demand as well as to the demands for gas for domestic usage. The company has invited applications for the high-pressure natural gas pipeline which is to be constructed on engineering, procurement, and construction basis. The brief project description includes design, detailed engineering, procurement, supply, laying, testing, and commissioning for the cross-country gas pipeline along with associated facilities such as launching/receiving terminals, intermediate pigging stations, block valve stations, CP system, OFC, civil works, filtration and metering skids, electrical and instrumentation, SCADA/Telecom etc.," GSPL said. The minimum qualification criteria for the bidders include that the bidder should have experience in successful construction and commissioning of as least one single gas/oil pipeline of minimum 24-in diameter x 60km having specifications confirming to international standard in last five years, on EPC basis.
