Guwahati, India, could get gas

India’s 196 km Duliajan – Numaligarh Pipeline could extend to Guwahati, India, local news sources have reported.

Chairman of the Indian Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board L Mansingh said the board was considering a 300 km project extending the pipeline to Guwahati.

“We will look into the regulatory issues of this project,” he said.

Duliajan Numaligarh Pipeline Company’s Duliajan – Numaligarh Pipeline is set to commence operation by October 2009. The company is jointly owned by the Assam Gas Company, Numaligarh Refinery Limited and Oil India Limited.
