The Horn River Project consists of two main elements: the acquisition and operation of the existing NEB-regulated Ekwan pipeline facilities, which are owned by EnCana Ekwan Pipeline Incorporated; and, the construction and operation of two new transmission pipelines.

The proposed pipelines would carry natural gas to the Alberta System from two new natural gas processing facilities to be located approximately 70 km and 75 km respectively, northeast of Fort Nelson, British Columbia.

The oral component of the hearing process is scheduled to start on 26 October 2010, at a location to be determined and any member of the public is welcome to attend.
