Inpex inaugurates Shin Oumi gas pipeline

Inpex Corporation has completed construction of the Shin Oumi natural gas pipeline in the Joetsu area, Niigata Prefecture, Japan.

The 68 km, 20 inch diameter pipeline runs from Tomioka, Joetsu City, to Toumi, Itoigawa City.

The new pipeline is part of a network that covers approximately 1,400 km, which supplies natural gas produced in the Minami-Nagaoka Gas Field to the city gas enterprises and commercial consumers in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
