INPEX has announced it will construct the Toyama Line, a 102 km, 20 inch diameter natural gas trunk pipeline from Itoigawa city, Niigata Prefecture, to Toyama Prefecture, Japan.
The pipeline will have a design pressure of 7 MPa, with operation expected to commence in late 2014.
The Toyama line will transport natural gas from Inpex’s Naoetsu LNG receiving terminal in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, to Nihonkai Gas Co and other customers.
The Naoetsu LNG terminal is currently under construction.
