The consortium consists of PetroVietnam Gas Corporation, Mitsui Oil Exploration Company of Japan, Thai PTT Exploration and Production Public Company and American firm Chevron.
The 400 km Block B – Omon pipeline will deliver 18.3 MMcm/d of natural gas from Block B, which is located in an offshore basin about 140 km southwest of Ca Mau province, to the O Mon Power Complex in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho.
PetroVietnam holds the controlling stake of 51 per cent in the project.
