Indian petroleum minister Mani Shanker Aiyer told parliament recently that IOC plans to lay a 270-km branch pipeline to Raxaul and Baitalpur from the Barauni-Kanpur product pipeline at an estimated cost of $37.7 million, and it is also planning a 274-km line from Koyali to Ratlam at an investment of $50.4 million. The two pipelines would be completed in two years from investment approval, Aiyer said in a written parliamentary reply.
