The Conference

To be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, the Conference will focus on the theme ‘Pipelines in a Changing World’. Trans-Northern Pipelines President and CEO Al Conquergood, and Ash Sahi, President and CEO of the Canadian Standards Association, are to co-chair the event, and it is expected that 1,200 members of the international pipeline industry will attend.

Keynote speakers include André Plourde, from the Department of Economics at the University of Alberta; BP Explorations (UK) Chief Engineer, Pipeline and Civil, Ian Neilson; Common Ground Alliance US President Bob Kipp; and, Enhance Energy President Susan Cole.

The 14-stream conference will also feature 350 technical papers from 40 different countries, as well as panels and tutorials. Held over five days, the wide-ranging technical tracks are designed to allow attendees to participate in discussions with industry experts and leaders in the topic areas of their choice.

The International Pipeline Conference (IPC), organised by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers' Pipeline Systems Division, is an internationally renowned event organised on a not-for-profit basis. Proceeds from the conference are used to support education initiatives for the pipeline industry.

The Exposition

The International Pipeline Exposition, at which companies from around the world will display the latest in pipeline technology, equipment and services will be held from 28–30 September.

Organised by DMG World Media, the 2010 event again promises an unmatched overview of the latest developments in the oil and gas pipeline industry, as well as associated activities.

In conjunction with the conference programme, the exposition will provide a forum for pipeline professionals to catch up and view over 150 of the industry’s most recognised brands.
