The pipeline aims to transfer oil products from southern refineries to Tehran and northern regions of the country, running from Naeen, through Kashan to end in Rey.

In its report, Tehran Times also mentioned that the pipeline is expected to reach completion in 32 months.

Tehran Times went on to say that currently, over 13,000 km of oil pipelines are in operation across the country, which should be expanded to 16,500 km by 2015 according to Iran’s fifth, five-year development plan.
