The town of Kells in north Meath, Ireland will be connected to Ireland’s natural gas network if the Energy Regulator approves the Bord Gais pipeline construction application.
Kells’ representative in the house of deputies Shane McEntee has welcomed the news saying that connection to the natural gas network would be a great boost for the town’s households and businesses as well as making the town a greater prospect for future investment in the region.

If Bord Gais receives approval construction on the pipeline to Kells could begin as early as 2010.
