The successful bidder will examine the 14 inch pipeline for defects, evaluate previous repairs made to the pipeline and make recommendations for pipeline operations.
The pipeline has been pumping petrol, diesel, Jet A – 1, and kerosene for oil marketing companies since 1978.
KPC Managing Director Selest Kilinda said “As this survey will dictate future inspection frequency and anomaly tracking, only the most stringent internationally accepted codes, standards and specifications shall be applied.”
Interested bidders must obtain tender documents from KPC and submit the completed documents by 29 October 2009.
