China National Petroleum Corporation has officially commenced welding on a crude oil pipeline which starts in Lanzhou, passes through the Gansu, Shaanxi and Sichuan provinces, and ends in Pengzhou, northwest of Chengdu.
The 878 km, 610 mm diameter pipeline will have a design pressure of 8–13.4 MPa, a capacity of 10 MMt/a of crude oil and be constructed using X65 SSAW pipe.
