The Liquid Niugini Gas LNG project joint venture partners have submitted a project agreement to the PNG Government for the construction of a proposed LNG plant, which includes a 358 km gas pipeline, in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
The 36 inch diameter feed gas pipeline will connect the InterOil Elk Gas Field to the plant to transport 1,600 MMcf/d of gas to the facility.The proposed project targets a $US5.1 billion two train LNG facility, with each train capable of producing approximately 4 MMt/a of LNG.
The Liquid Niugini Gas LNG project is a joint venture between InterOil, Liquid Niugini Gas and Petromin PNG Holdings.
InterOil has a drilling program underway to secure a gas supply for the project and has spud the Antelope-2 appraisal well, located in PPL 237.
