Russia’s Lukoil is looking to buy BP’s share of their joint venture, which has a minority stake in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), according to local news sources.
The 1,580 km Caspian pipeline runs from Tengiz in Kazakhstan to Novorossiysk on the Black Sea and has a total capacity of 750,000 bbl/d of oil.

CPC participants include Transneft, CPC Company, KazMunayGaz, Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium Company, Lukarco, Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company, Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures, BG Overseas Holding, Eni International, Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures and Oryx Caspian Pipeline.
