Bison Pipeline LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TransCanada, is nearing the end of the regulatory process associated with its application to construct the 486 km 30 inch diameter Bison Pipeline.

The proposed pipeline would move gas northeast from the Powder River Basin and connect the Dead Horse Region, Wyoming, with the Northern Border Pipeline Company system to meet the growing natural gas demand of the Midwest market.

The Bison Pipeline will interconnect with the Northern Border Pipeline Company system near Northern Border’s Compressor Station 6, located in Morton County, North Dakota.

The completed pipeline would have a capacity of approximately 477 MMcf/d with the potential to expand to 1 Bcf/d of gas.
