DAVID Stanley has been appointed chief executive officer of Penspen Ltd, the UK-based independent onshore and subsea pipeline engineering, construction, and integrity company.
David, 52, will be re-establishing his base in Penspen’s London office after three years as president of Penspen Inc in Houston. A mechanical engineering graduate, he spent over five years in the Middle East in the late 1970s and early 1980s. After studying for his MBA at Cranfield, he spent six years providing IT project management consultancy services to blue-chip companies, before rejoining Penspen in 1992. In the mid-1990s, he spent two years in Greece directing the construction and completion of the border gas-metering station, before opening business for Penspen in Latin America and the Caribbean.
David played a key role in Penspen’s acquisition of Andrew Palmer and Associates in 1999, and says that Penspen will continue to look for high-quality engineering companies to join the group.
