The Kupe Gas Field Development, located in the Taranaki Basin, offshore New Zealand, is set to come online by the end of November or early December 2009.
The gas project included the construction of a 30 km subsea pipeline linking the newly installed production platform to a new onshore production station, located 12 km west of Hawera.
The production platform is located above the Kupe field production wells and will support up to six wellheads.
The Kupe project is a joint venture between Origin Energy as operator with the remaining interest shared between Genesis Power, New Zealand Oil & Gas and Mitsui E&P Australia.
