The Kenya Pipeline Company has completed its capacity expansion project on the Mombasa – Nairobi Oil Pipeline, doubling pumping capacity to 880 cubic metres of oil per hour, local news sources have reported.
The $US1.3 million expansion project included four pump stations installed at Konza, Makindu, Manyani and Samburu, as well as three booster pumps at the Kipevu Oil Storage Facility in Mombasa.

The 14 inch diameter pipeline has a total length of 452 km.
