The proposed 20 inch diameter pipeline would transport oil from the Curaray crude processing plant, located in Block 67, to Petroperú’s Andoas station for subsequent transport to the Bayóvar terminal on the Pacific coast.

The project also includes a 10 inch diameter, 31 km pipeline to transport light hydrocarbons from the Andoas station to the crude processing plant. The project is expected to cost $US345 million to construct.

Block 67 covers 101,931 hectares in the Marañón Basin and includes the Paiche, Dorado and Piraña oil fields, which hold reserves of more than 300 MMbbl of oil.

Initial production is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2013 and peak output is estimated at 100,000 bbl/d of oil.
