The job covers insulation coating of the 43-km long, 16- and 18-in diameter pipe-in-pipe production pipeline. The steel linepipes will be delivered to Bredero Shaw's facilities in Orkanger, near Trondheim, and the insulation work will start in the autumn of 2006 and finish in April 2007, Statoil said. The pipes will be installed on the Tyrihans field during the summer of 2007. In February, Statoil awarded Stolt Offshore (now known as Acergy) the contract to install the production pipeline from the field to the Kristin platform, together with a 42-km long, 10-in diameter, gas-injection pipeline from Asgard B to the Tyrihans field. The work will be performed in the summer of 2007, with mobilization expected in May, 2007, and will use the LB200 trunkline laybarge, following the completion of work on the Langeled Project. The 43-km long wellstream production pipeline will consist of an outer carbon pipe and an inner stainless steel pipe. This will be the first time that Statoil installs such a pipeline. The laying operation will be demanding, with pipeweldinig and parallel installation of cables for direct electric heating and mechanical protection. Estimated recoverable reserves from Tyrihans amount to roughly 182m brl of oil/condensate, and 34.8bn cum of rich gas. Statoil has a 46.8% share in the field, and the other licensees are Total (26.51%), Hydro (12%), Eni (7.9%), and ExxonMobil (6.75%).
