The project has involved constructing a subsea pipeline system to carry gas from the offshore Perseus field to the onshore Karratha Gas Plant, and will bring the Perseus field into production to fully utilise the Goodwyn platform's production capacity as it becomes available. The pipeline system will establish a subsea infrastructure system tied-back to the Goodwyn platform to access the majority of remaining Perseus reserves, and the new system is scheduled to begin operating in October. BJ PPS was retained by Allseas to provide flooding, gauging, hydrostatic testing, and precommissioning services for the 16-in, 24.1-km subsea line, and two 10-in PoG pipelines measuring 1.4km and 1.8km, respectively. The contract was awarded in September 2006 and during the following five months, all necessary services were carried out, with all three infield flowlines flooded, gauged, and tested with Allseas' dynamically-positioned supply vessel, the Highland Rover.
