In addition to courses that are regularly held elsewhere, the Kuala Lumpur (KL) programme includes three new courses that have become an important part of filling the international pipeline industry’s training needs.
Defect assessment in pipelines, 21-23 November
This well-respected training course presents the latest defect assessment methods to pipeline engineers and managers. These methods will range from simple, quick assessment methods to more detailed fitness-for-purpose analysis.
Pipeline repair methods and in-service welding, 21-22 November
The various aspects of pipeline repair using welding and non-welding methods will be covered in this important two-day training course, as will the concerns for welding onto in-service pipelines and the approaches used to address them. In particular, pipeline repair using weld and non-weld methods, and concerns for welding onto in-service pipelines, will be covered in detail.
NEW: Pipeline risk management and assessment, 23-25 November
This new training course introduces the concepts of hazard and risk assessment, and presents the methods available to assess and control risk in gas transmission, distribution, and oil pipelines.
NEW: Pipeline pigging and maintenance, 23-25 November
This is a new, theory-based, course which provides an overview of all pigging operations, from the planning required to run a pig through to pig launching and receipt.
NEW: Inspection of offshore pipelines and structures, 23-25 November
This new training course will provide a wide-ranging overview of internal and external inspection procedures, technologies, and equipment for pipelines and associated structures.
