The Indian Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has invited companies to bid for the development of the Mehsana – Bhatinda natural gas pipeline, and related extensions to Jammu and Kashmir.
Prospective bidders including GAIL, Larsen & Toubro, Engineers India Limited, Gujarat State Petronet Limited , Essar Projects and Nagarjuna Construction attended a pre-bid meeting held on 9 November 2009.
The project will involve a 960 km pipeline connecting Mehsana in Gujarat to Bhatinda in Punjab, and a 440 km extension to Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir.
The closing date for bids is 16 December 2009.
