Precommissioning contract in Kazakhstan

ABERDEEN-based BJ Process and Pipeline Services has been awarded a contract by Saipem Kazakhstan to provide pipeline precommissioning services on portions of the Kashagan field development experimental programme project, located in the North Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan.

During the next two years, BJ is contracted to provide swabbing, air-drying, nitrogen purging and packing, and caliper survey services on the 95-km long, 28-in diameter, main oil and gas pipelines, the 95-km long, 18-in, fuel gas trunk lines, and associated 18-in and 6-in infield lines.
