Bolivian President Evo Morales and Argentinean President Cristina Fernandez are expected to meet in Bolivia this week to announce construction details of the proposed gas pipeline between the two countries, according to oil and gas company Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos.
The new pipeline is part of a planned increase in Bolivia’s natural gas exports to Argentina to 27 MMcm/a by 2017.
Article continues below…Approximately 20 km of the 36 inch diameter pipeline will be constructed in Bolivia from Margarita to Madrejones, and 40 km from Madrejones to the Refinor refinery in Campo Duran, Argentina.
