Coating operations on the gas pipelines for phases 9 and 10 of the development plans for the South Pars oil and gasfield in Iran are halfway complete, while pipelaying is progressing 1km/day, the manager of the Shohaday-e-Shalamcheh facility of the Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Co (IOEC), Mohammadreza Moqaddasi, said recently. The two pipelines are each 105km long, and 85 12-m pipe lengths, weighing at 12 tons each, are being coated each day with an anti-corrosion tar coating and concrete weight coating.
