ITALIAN contractor Saipem has been awarded a $210-million pipeline job in Nigeria for Shell to construct a 46-km gas pipeline in the Bayelsa and Rivers states.
The pipeline, to be completed by the third quarter next year, will connect the San Bartholomew manifold with the Cawthorne Channel Junction manifold trunkline. The contract includes decommissioning of the existing 28-in pipeline and related facilities.
