Southern North Sea pipeline to be shut down for maintenance
Tue, 12 January 2010
BP plans to shut down the Cleeton gas platform and the Southern North Sea Pipeline to perform scheduled maintenance work on the pipeline system.
The Southern North Sea Pipeline transports approximately 1 per cent of the United Kingdom continental shelf’s total gas supplies.
The shut down will allow gas supplies from new fields to be tied into the Cleeton platform.
The company has declined to provide a timeline for the shut down.
