Spectra Energy’s South Peace Pipeline now in service

North American gas infrastructure company Spectra Energy has commissioned their 95 km South Peace Pipeline, which extends the company’s existing gas gathering system in the rapidly developing Montney, Doig, and Cadomin plays in northeast British Columbia.
“The South Peace Pipeline project represents an important part of Spectra Energy’s significant expansion activities designed to meet the needs and timing of area producers and downstream customers,” said Spectra Energy Transmission West Vice President of Field Services Duane Rae.

The pipeline has a capacity in excess of 220 MMcf/d and provides Montney producers in the emerging South Peace region with access to Spectra’s Fort St. John area infrastructure, including the McMahon gas processing plant.
