The contract includes the engineering, supply, installation, and pre-commissioning of the 30 km flexible pipe system. The pipe system includes six flexible risers, flexible flowlines and jumpers. All flexible pipes will be fabricated at Technip’s plant in Le Trait, France.
Technip will also install the subsea production system including manifolds, flying leads and umbilicals, which will be fabricated by Technip subsidiary Duco under a separate contract.
Offshore installation is scheduled to be carried out in mid-2011 using Technip’s deepwater construction vessel, Deep Pioneer.
The Aseng Field – formerly known as Benita – was originally discovered in 2007 as a gas condensate field. Subsequent drilling identified oil resources in the field.

First production from the field is estimated to commence by mid-2012 at a rate of 50,000 bbl/d of oil. The company expects to recover approximately 100–120 MMbbl over the life of the project. The field also holds between 450 and 550 Bcf of gas resources.
