Wed, 8 February 2006
A CONSORTIUM of Turkish pipe manufacturers BMB, Noksel, and Umran, under the supervision of Mannesmann, have won the tender for what is probably the biggest current pipeline project to date launched by Sonatrach in Algeria.
The tender, worth $115 million, also represents the largest trade agreement signed between Turkey and Algeria. The 665-km long oil pipeline from Haoud Al-Hamra to Skikda NK1, will run from Haoud Al-Hamra, where the majority of energy resources of the country are located, and Skikda on the Mediterranean coast.
