Egypt's oil minister, Samih Samir Fahmi, also made a proposal to Oleksiy Ivchenko, chairman of Naftohaz Ukrayiny, that his company take part in the next international tender to explore and develop other oilfields in Egypt and build oil and gas facilities in the country, Naftohaz Ukrayiny said. Ivchenko also said that the company would like to take part in the international consortium that will build the gas pipeline from Egypt to Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan.
