KIEV-based UA International Group, a Ukrainian water and energy infrastructure company (among its other interests) has agreed to a power-supply deal with Ukrtransgas, the a company that owns and manages the major pipeline carrying natural gas from Russia through four major cities in the Ukraine and into parts of Western Europe.
The pipeline, which runs through Kiev, Berditschiev, Kirovograb, and Tscherkassi, is an important part of the country's local fuel supply infrastructure, and UA International will be supplying power, electricity, and maintenance to Ukrtransgas to keep it at a high operational level and increase the pipeline's delivery capabilities.
Vitaly Zhygun, president of UA International, said that the contract will substantially increase revenues and profitability for the company as the pipeline increases its efficiency and delivery capabilities.
