Welder found for Brazilian pipeline

Vallourec subsidiary Serimax has been awarded the welding contract for the Gas Sul North Capixaba project by Subsea 7 in Brazil.

Serimax will provide welding services for the 151 km, 18 inch diameter sour service pipeline, which will run parallel to the Brazilian coast and links the Camarupim Field gas pipeline to the Parque des Baleias complex.

Offshore installation onboard the Acergy Polaris vessel is scheduled to start in November 2011, with completion expected by the end of February 2012.
