The contracts, totalling $US120 million, are for the installation of power systems on the West East and Second West East gas pipelines.
Three RB211-powered gas compressor packages and a single motor-driven compressor have been ordered for the 4,000 km West East Pipeline to increase power at stations along the pipeline, which has a current capacity of 17 Bcm/a of natural gas.
In addition, six RB211 compressor packages have been ordered for the 2,450 km western section of the Second West East Pipeline, which links the Chinese border with Kazakhstan to Zhongwei, China.
The Second West East Pipeline has a planned capacity of 30 Bcm/a of gas.
